Ladies, Gents
The 2012/13 season is already upon us and
we’re looking forward to building on last year’s phenomenal success and pushing
the club forward in several new directions.
1. Committee
The committee continues to go from strength
to strength, despite the absence of a Chairman. The committee has spread the
roles and responsibilities amongst it, however we’re still on the lookout for a
replacement for Rob as soon as possible, so if you know of someone or are
willing to take on the role yourself then please let myself or any other
committee member know.
The workload has been such that we are
looking to formally introduce the roles of, membership secretary, venue
coordinator and development officer within the club constitution. Mark
Williams, Adam Green and Andy Willis have volunteered for the roles, but as
with any other committee roles we can have multiple applicants and put it to
the vote.
2. The
Paddock
As you can see the paddock has benefitted
from the variable summer weather and is looking fantastic. The Club is looking
to have the paddock ready for winter training after the half term break. As you
can see from the photo the fence along the edge is fairly flimsy and to that
end in order to keep dog walkers, and deer off.
The club is looking to fence off the area and finance this by selling
advertising on the fence panels. We are looking for local firms to purchase
advertising space for two 900x600mm sign. There will be a one off cost of £80 for
two panels and we have 27 to sell, so if you are self employed or work for a
local firm any support you can give would be appreciated as would any labour
given for the fence installation. The paddock will be the venue for the
majority of winter training and will in all probability feature in next year’s
tournament.
3. Facilities
The Club is actively sourcing extra
portable lighting rigs so that the new paddock will have suitable lights for
winter training, if you know of any plant hire/ construction firms looking to
get rid of serviceable light units then please let us know. . There is also a
plan in place to put a serviced Portaloo on 9 acres moving to the paddock for
the BFC teams and spectators.
4. Sponsorship
With the new look kits, our sponsorship team:
Viv Harris and Graham Rutland are keen to get sponsors for every age group. If
you know of any local firm that would be willing to help out the club then
please contact Viv or Graham for price details
5. Social
There
will be a couple of social functions prior to Christmas
a. 27
Oct 12 Halloween Party. This will be open
for the U11s and downwards and will be a disco at the CSA
b. TBC
Dec 12 –Christmas Function-
Over 18s following in the theme of last years with the hopeful addition of a
live band
6 CSA Training
While
we are still training at The CSA 9 acres can you ensure only coaches with
training equipment, park beside container at 9 acres and training is carried
out only on the training pitch and NOT the 11 aside pitch
I
think that’s all for now, and good luck to all the teams for the new season..
Thanks
